The A.G.M.A Ju-Jitsu Association is a club teaching practical self-defence using
the art of Ju-Jitsu. The club has been running since September 1999. Sensei Anthony Gooding 3rd Dan and
Sensei Steve Rowlands 1st Dan teach sessions on a fairly informal basis Incorporating
defences against punches, kicks, knives and sticks etc. There are no age, fitness or gender restrictions as training is based on technique and not strength. We also teach Yawara bo and pressure point techniques for easy control of your opponent. We incorporate locks, holds, throws and restraints as taught to the armed forces, metropolitan police and security personnel. Ju-Jitsu is a perfect street self-defence as it involves defences against every day attacks you would come across in the streets today. These may range from simple pushes and pulls to an all out attack with a knife or bat. There are no fancy kicks, no somersaults or flying around like you see on T.V. Just practical workable self-defence. All instruction is carried out in English, as we believe in making it as easy as possible for you to learn and not complicate things by teaching a foreign language as well. Sessions are run on Thursdays from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at: Lovedean Village Hall Lovedean Lane Waterlooville Hampshire Tel: 023 92 613276 Mobile 07776 387832 ...... sensei Gooding And on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm HMS COLLINGWOOD New Gate Lane Fareham Hampshire Tel: 01329 286006 ...... sensei Rowlands On your first and subsequent gradings you will be presented with full certification stating your level of competence in the art of Ju-Jitsu.
